Language is important, as way of communication, is a necessity. What gives life to our language and forms of communication, are words. I remember hearing my grandma tell me how powerful words can be.
In casual conversation with many people, I find myself often hearing the following common words strung together, saying “life can be hard”.
Since I’ve began doing the inner work of challenging my own false beliefs, those words above stuck out to me and I noticed their heavy effect on my thoughts.
I’ll get to the point. I find saying, “life is easy” serves me way better. Regardless of our current reality, changing our words and communication is akin to the little bit of rolling snow that eventually causes an avalanche of change in our life.
I found old patterns of desperately holding on to things that I out grew, and challenging myself to let go. Not because I heard letting go is a constant in life, but because letting go makes life easier in retrospect.
With that being said, this letter is a farewell for now and not the end! Instead a new beginning.
I decided (again) to embrace change and found myself drawn to writings around constants in my life specifically: healing modalities, understanding self & each other better, and the human experience.
If you feel interested and want to continue supporting and following my personal writing, you can read and subscribe at ‘The HUG’.
I’ve also taken on the honorable position of editor (self-titled hehe) for ‘Fresh Off the Press’. A newsletter for small business, by small business; operated by my brother, his better half, and my self. Together we highlight Portland’s community of local small business & art scene.
Thank you friends for following this journey with me so far. It means a lot to me. To see that someone reads what I write, brings such a wholesome feeling and motivates me to continue pouring my pu’er, and get back to hitting the keys.
With Love + good vibes
